Meters are read manually each month. Bills are usually generated the third week of the month and are usually mailed between the 19th and 21st of the month.

Stewartville Water Authority has partnered with NexBillPay to extend an additional payment option for customers interested in using their check, debit card or credit card to pay their bill. PAY BY MAIL
When paying by mail, never use cash; always use a check or money order. Write the customer number on the payment and include the bill stub. Always allow 5 days delivery time for any mail payments. The mailing address for mailing payments is:

PAYMENT DROP BOX
A drop box is located to the right of the front door of the office building located at 65 Coosa County Road 150, Sylacauga, AL 35151.
Payments at this box should not be made in cash. Please place payment in an envelope for security purposes, write the customer name and customer number on the payment and include bill stub.
MONTHLY BANK DRAFTS
This payment option insures the customer will never pay a late penalty as a result of forgetting to pay or being out of town and will relieve the obligation of writing checks and mailing payments. To sign up for this program, the customer must complete and sign an authorization form provided by the Authority. Please call the Authority office for this form. Once the authorization form is received, the customer will continue to receive a monthly bill; however, the bill will note “PAID BY BANK DRAFT”. The amount is electronically deducted from the customer’s bank account between the 4th and 15th of each month. The Authority will add a nominal fee to the customer’s account each month to cover the bank charges to provide this service.
Visa, MasterCard and Discover are now accepted in the office. The processing fee will be charged to the customer.

Hours: 7:00 am until 5:30 pm (Closed 30 minutes at Noon for Lunch)
Please present your bill stub with your payment and reference your Customer Number on your check.
RETURN REMITTANCE POLICY
A service fee will be charged for any type of payment remittance returned from any financial institution.
If a customer has any item returned from a financial institution, the Water Authority will attempt to notify the customer either by telephone or mail. The returned instrument must be redeemed in cash plus the return fee at the Authority office within 5 days of its return. If the returned instrument is not redeemed, the account will be subject to immediate disconnection
